Dr Ho Kok Sun graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1993. He obtained his Master of Medicine in Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 1998 and also became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in the same year. He completed his training in general surgery in 2002. He went to Cleveland Clinic Florida in 2002 for his fellowship and has been subspecialising in colorectal surgery since he completed his general surgery training.

Dr Ho is the immediate past President of the College of Surgeons Singapore and the immediate past President of the ASEAN Society of Colorectal Surgeons. He was also previously President of the Society of Colorectal Surgeons (Singapore) and vice president of the Singapore-China Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology. He is a founding member of the Eurasian Colorectal Technologies Association. He has served as Organising Chairman of 2 major international colorectal conferences.

Dr Ho was formerly Senior Consultant at the Department of Colorectal Surgery, Singapore General Hospital. During his time in Singapore General Hospital, he held numerous posts including Director of Enterostomal Therapy Service, Director of Transanal Ultrasound Lab and Director of Endo-Laparoscopic Simulation Centre. He was also Deputy Director of Singapore General Hospital Endoscopy Centre. Dr Ho was also Visiting consultant to the Department of Surgical Oncology, National Cancer Centre of Singapore.

Dr Ho also held concurrent appointments of Clinical Senior Lecturer in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and Assistant Professor with the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. He was a core faculty member of the SingHealth General Surgery Residency Program and developed the syllabus for the Colorectal Surgery training program.

Dr Ho has a strong special interest in minimally invasive colorectal surgery. He does laparoscopic (keyhole) colon and rectum surgeries regularly and also progressed to performing numerous single incision port (single keyhole) colon and rectum surgery. He is also one of the very few surgeons in Singapore accredited to do Robotic Colorectal Surgery. In the field of laparoscopic surgery and endoscopy, he has conducted more than 20 animal laparoscopic workshops to teach overseas surgeons. He has also taught medical students and advanced specialty trainees laparoscopic and endoscopic skills using simulation machines.

Dr Ho’s other area of interest is in advanced therapeutic endoscopy (gastroscopy and colonoscopy) including the use of colon stents in the relief of symptoms from complication of colon cancer.

Another area of expertise would be that of anal diseases. This includes conditions like haemorrhoids (piles), anal fistula, anal fissures and abscesses.

Dr Ho has published more than 45 articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. He is also a reviewer and is on the editorial board of numerous journals.

Dr Ho is effectively bilingual in both Chinese and English and is also able to speak in Cantonese and Hokkien as well. He has travelled to speak and perform live surgery demonstration and teaching in countries such as China, Indonesia and Vietnam.

Dr. Lim graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1995 and obtained his Fellowship in Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, FRCS (Glasg), in 1999. After completing his Advanced Specialty Training in General Surgery in 2003, Dr. Lim was conferred a Singapore General Hospital Fellowship to further his training in management of functional defaecatory disorders and minimally invasive colorectal surgery at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Upon returning from Australia in 2005, Dr. Lim worked as a consultant in the Department of Colorectal Surgery, Singapore General Hospital before leaving for private practice in 2011.

Dr. Lim has authored numerous scientific research articles in various colorectal surgery topics and these have been published in various peer-reviewed medical journals worldwide. Dr. Lim also served as the Director of clinical research and medical education in the Department of Colorectal Surgery, Singapore General Hospital. He was instrumental in creating the curriculum in Colorectal Surgery for the Duke-NUS Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. Lim continues to volunteer as a reviewer with several peer-reviewed medical journals.

Dr. Lim has a strong interest in minimally invasive colorectal surgery.  He is adept at laparoscopic (keyhole) colorectal surgery including single incision colorectal surgery and robotic surgery. He has performed hundreds of laparoscopic colorectal operations and has lectured as well as conducted workshops about laparoscopic colorectal surgery at various local and international meetings.

One of Dr. Lim’s main interests is in the management of patients with functional bowel disorders such as bowel incontinence and constipation. In 2008, Dr. Lim started the Pelvic Floor Disorder Service, Singapore General Hospital, together with specialists from the departments of Urology and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. At that time, Dr. Lim and his team were among the first to introduce this multi-disciplinary clinical service providing holistic service to patients suffering from complex functional disorders of the pelvis.  He served as the director from the inception until his resignation from Singapore General Hospital in 2011.

Currently, Dr. Lim is the President of the Society of Colorectal Surgeons (Singapore) and Vice-President of the Society for Continence (Singapore). Dr. Lim is also a member of the Singapore Medical Association and Faculty of Medical Experts (Academy of Medicine, Singapore). He is also a Visiting Consultant to the Department of Surgery at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Sengkang Hospital.

Dr Lau Hung Tuan is an accredited, international fellowship-trained Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialist in Singapore. Dr Lau treats ENT conditions, such as sinus infection, nasal allergy, ear and hearing problems, as well as swellings in the head and neck region. Besides these common ENT conditions, Dr Lau has special interest in the sub-specialty field of Snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA). He is highly passionate about treating these conditions with holistic, tailored and individualised solutions for his patients.

Dr Lau graduated from University College London (United Kingdom) and received his MBBS degree with Distinction in Medical Sciences and special commendation for overall performance. He went on to qualify as a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and was also conferred a Masters of Medicine (Otorhinolaryngology) from the National University of Singapore.

Dr Lau completed his postgraduate specialist training through the NHG-AHPL Otorhinolaryngology Residency Program.  He further completed a clinical fellowship in Craniofacial Sleep Surgery at the Craniofacial Centre of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan where he was trained in the field of carniofacial reconstructive surgery. 

Prior to commencing private practice, Dr Lau served as a Consultant in the Department of Otolaryngology (ENT), Head and Neck Surgery of Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), where he was the clinical lead for the Snoring and OSA surgery sub-specialty service. Dr Lau continues to run a Complex Sleep Clinic at Tan Tock Seng Hospital as a visiting specialist.

During his KTPH tenure, his hospital appointments include being in the Medical Care Quality Improvement Committee, Tissue Audit Committee and Trauma Committee.

On the academic front, Dr Lau is active in contributing to the ENT and medical community at large as both teaching faculty and presenter in various local and international conferences. He was the ENT Clinical Block Lead (KTPH) and clinical teacher for Nanyang Technological University Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. He was also a clinical tutor for the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.

He was trained in complex surgeries at Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA.

Dr. Dutton has cared for patients at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University in the US, as well as at the Prince of Wales Hospital and the St. George Hospital in Australia. He is now based at Mt Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.

    Dr. Dutton has been in clinical practice since 1996 after graduating from Marist College, Canberra and the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.

    Dr. Dutton has worked at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney and the St. George Hospital, Sydney before completing his orthopaedic surgery training in Singapore.

    He completed his subspecialty training and was on staff at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. During this time he was trained in complex surgeries of the Hip and Knee, while caring for patients that came for treatment from all across the USA and the staff at Harvard University.
